Okay, first scenario for you guys.

The new group’s first job is to fly to a high-profile Russian official’s Deniska Mikhailov's dacha outside of Moscow and install a home network system. They official obviously wants high-grade equipment, and all the hardware is already there, all the team needs to do is travel, eat his food, and install his gear. The full team will go, as this is a chance to get some high visibility business, which will help future sales for the team, which specialises in network security, freelance network support and "other" IT services. I'll leave what "other" could mean to your fertile imaginations...

The company you all work for is called Sneakers, and they have a Converse running shoe stuck on a laptop as their logo. Yeah, cheesy, but the boss likes it. Not all characters need be IT specialists, however.

Naturally, this wouldn't be very exciting if everything went accordingly. Expect stuff to hit the fan, that's where it'll get interesting.

Who's up for it?

Okay, I'll probably do pre-made characters. My wife was all confused with the process. Either I tweak it so it works, or I just make them myself and spare people the horrors. (and she had da bomb stat rolls...!)

Tentative characters (names left open to the players), notable stats and background included.

1) An intelligent (INT 15), if socially-awkward (CHA 7) IT Security consultant, who did some questionable hacking activities in his/her younger years. Due to an underlying health issue, (END 6), they are meticulous about eating healty and avoid vices like tobacco and alcohol, and don't mind pointing it out to others.

2) A natural leader (CHA 16), who specializes more in making sure things happen rather than actually doing the work. They are in charge of the group, and answer directly to The Boss. Not afraid to use intimidation and bluffing to get their point across, but is protective of their team members. Although not directly involved in the IT activities, they do some custom computer builds on the side for friends and family, mostly as a hobby.

3) The non-IT administrative wizard. They maintain the records, databases and other admin chores that seem to get ignored by the techs. They used to work for a more traditional P.I. organization, and are skilled in photography, gathering evidence and other sleuth skills. Wanted a change of pace, got accepted as an admin clerk. Is very observant (PER 16) and personable (CHA 15), and acts as the informal assistant for the leader.

4) The other IT Security consultant - more balanced than the awkward counterpart (CHA 10, INT 14), and due to a hardy physique (STR 14, END 16), never eats right. Manages to get the raw end of life (LCK 6) for some inexplicable reason, depsite all their efforts to get ahead.

5) The cool old guy - A dinosaur on the team (END 7, AGI 6), this crusty throwback to COBAL and FORTRAN primarily runs cable and other menial chores, but is a sage of advice for the younger members (INT 14, PER 16), and rarely misses anything.

I'll add some more to give options. Any suggestions? I want to give the plyaers the option to tweak the pre-mades to their liking, but I might not give much lattitude.

I'm gong to use my wife as a lab rat beta tester on a simple scenario, for a few reasons: 1) a Narrator that sucks makes the whole game suck. 2) to see if the mechanics actually work before I subject a bunch of peopel to the horrors of a junk setup.

I might find that OMG I SUCK, and thus there is no point in continuing.

And do others even check the forum anymore...?
