iOS 6.x Official Jailbreak Released

Post by Ambush on Tue Feb 05, 2013 5:42 am

Use at your own risk. I'm about to jailbreak my iDevices now. I sync'ed them and did a backup so I can restore. I recommend you doing the same.

Box.net links work the best. Rapid Share said it was exhausted and the Mega one downloads initially, but then tells you, that you need to specify a location to save it. It does another loading procedure and only goes to 5%. Bot.net download in about 5-10 seconds.

Jailbreak works! I got Cydia on there. It does some loading junk at first, might reboot the phone and seem like it crashes, but once you open it again it will ask you are you user, developer, or hacker. Pick one. Developer doesn't filter any thing so you can download whatever.

Awesome. Any worries about the Cult of the Orchard throwing a fit over this?

I would updated to 6.1.2, do a backup, then jailbreak it. If you don't do it now, 6.1.3 will come out and the 6.1.2 will not be signed. It has to be signed in order for you to update to it. I guess it's like a digital signature.

You'll have the latest iOS update and your device will be jailbroken. Is it worth it? Heck yes it is. You could literally get $500 for an unlock iPhone 5. Or more. You could buy yourself an iPhone 5s when it comes out and have money left over. Unlockers are available. There are places on eBay.

For buyers it's nice to buy out of contract. They see iPhone 5 Unlocked and Jailbroken and in decent condition they'll go for it. I sold my old 4s that wasn't even unlocked for the same exact price I bought it! I know most of you will be like nah it's ok blah blah blah. If you get money back and a newer phone, what holds you back?
