Offensive Security Wireless Professional Wifu_box

I've just signed up for the training and to take a test to get certified. I should be getting the materials they said within 3 days. I'll let you know how it goes.

The test will be schedule for later since CCNA is my priority. I've been studying a lot of the CBT Nuggets while I'm on that note and I'll be doing the router configuration more indepth tonight.

Wifu might not be that acknowledged in the IT Industry. I just found out all these crazy security certs BY ISC2. Apparently they are well acknowledged in the security field. For another day perhaps. Anyway, check out the brochure to see the pathway you can take.

WiFu? Is this stuff Black ICE or something? Can some of this stuff BSOD your OS? Break your BIOS? Corrupt the root partition of your drive?

I like the pay chart. Maybe I need to think about a career change before I get set in stone in the field I'm in now.

ICE is an old Cyberpunk term for intrusion countermeasures that can crash a system that tries to get into your system. Flags are tripped in the Network, algorithms start tracing back to your hardware through the Net, and bam, your deck crashes. Sometimes, the ICE masquerades as the nugget of data you're after, and once you download it, same result. Some ICE is even able to cause hard failures. A deck was a portable computer, typically custom-made to the needs of the slicer.

Of course, it was mere fiction, and slicers actually had futuristic wet-ware that enabled them to jack directly into their decks to enable a much faster interface than mere mousing and keystroke commands could. Some ICE ended up causing a high-voltage feedback signal that killed the slicer, or at least, put them in a hurt locker for a time by giving them a really bad headache.

Other times, the physical location of the slicer is traced discreetly, and then some local muscle arrive, kicking the door down at wherever the slicer was, and would give new meanings to the terms "reboot", "crash" and "fatal error", if you catch my drift.

Yes, I used to play the Cyberpunk RPG, with these things called pencils, paper, little chunks of plastic and a fertile imagination. Ah, life before powerful computers...

Well, I'm working on this certification after CCNA in case you didn't catch my quote.

The test will be schedule for later since CCNA is my priority. I've been studying a lot of the CBT Nuggets while I'm on that note and I'll be doing the router configuration more indepth tonight.

People only read what they wanna read, right? Anyway, I'm going to work on subnetting mostly tonight, but cramming in whateveer else I can. I'm taking the 2 tests combined, but the ICND1 I have down pretty well so it will only be a matter of time until I moved forward to ICND2 study material. Which I know will be challenging.

Wifu is the study course, but the actual certification is listed in the title of the thread as I have modified it.
